One of my favorite parts of the @PASMeeting is connecting with all the amazing pediatricians and especially the future pediatric nephrologists 👇🏾 Thanks to @AcademicPeds and @ASPNeph for supporting #NewCenturyScholars #PAS2024 #ASPN24 ❤️

Folks that write on the electronic medical record, Have you ever thought about the fact that writing “non complaint” “pain seeking” “difficult” et al. can literally be the deciding factor between that patient getting a life-saving intervention or not?

To practice medicine is to witness systemic injustices, and man- I have BIG feelings this morning on the topic. This job is great, but it is hard.

If this was about babies, there would be universal healthcare. Free education. Free daycare. Southern states would be doing all they can to drop the Black maternal mortality rate. This is about power and control

Today, the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it relegated the most intensely personal decision someone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues—attacking the essential freedoms of millions of Americans.

But if EVERY TIME, you TOOK THE TIME, to see how YOUR decisions could impact the greater good, then you take those steps toward improving society. Those drops become the rainfall. It becomes the storm of change that's needed.

I feel like I haven’t been sharing my thoughts at all on here, but this last year has been such a time of transition. Hoping to take up my space again soon in the Twitterverse.
