Earlier today, a train hit a bridge beam that was en route to the SR 317 reconstruction project, resulting in a derailment near the intersection of Apison Pike & University Drive. Both roads are closed in this area. Consider an alternate route. This will be a lengthy closure.

Seen this near the 75/24 split in Chattanooga? It’s called rubblization. The machine breaks up existing concrete & repurposes it as a base for the new pavement that’ll go down in its place. Pretty cool! It’s noisy, but’ll only take place during the day for the next couple weeks.

DADE COUNTY, GA: A crash on I-24 West near the 24/59 split (~ MM 169) has all lanes blocked. All units we would normally send to assist with traffic control are busy helping with snow & ice removal efforts. Signs posted on I-24 & I-75 to consider an alternate route.
