The HCSO stands ready to support our fellow agencies during this critical time.

The purpose of their deployment is to assist local sheriff’s offices & partner agencies in their ongoing investigative efforts following the tragic October 10th explosion at the Accurate Energetic Systems plant.

This afternoon, @AGarrettSheriff deployed members of the Hamilton County UAS Team, along with our Mobile Flight Operations Center, to Humphrey and Hickman Counties.

Road Closure Announcement: Roberts Mill Road will be closed Tuesday, October 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The W Road will be closed Wednesday, October 15, & Thursday, October 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. These closures are for general maintenance & restriping.

Members of our Recruiting Team & HR hosted a booth highlighting the many career opportunities available within our agency, while our Patrol, Training, Court Security, & SRD Units worked diligently to ensure a safe & secure environment for all attendees.

The event, hosted by the Hamilton County Parks Department, featured a variety of activities for families to enjoy, including a haunted trail, vendor booths, a corn maze, inflatables, face painting, and more.

This past weekend, several members of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office participated in the annual Halloween Trail Fest at Enterprise South Nature Park.

This 40-hour Basic Negotiator Course, facilitated by the FBI Nashville Division’s Crisis Negotiation Team, brought together (23) participants from multiple law enforcement agencies across our region.

The RCNC is designed to equip law enforcement & allied negotiators with the skills, mindset, & techniques necessary to defuse high-stress crisis situations through effective communication and active listening. Participants also engaged in lectures, scenario-based role-play, etc.

⚠️ TRAFFIC UPDATE ⚠️ Mahan Gap Road has been reopened for motorists from Ooltewah-Georgetown Road to the Bradley County Line.

Mahan Gap Road has been temporarily closed from Ooltewah-Georgetown Road to the Bradley County Line due to a serious vehicle accident. Motorists should avoid the area while emergency crews respond to the scene.

In addition to the previous information posted earlier, we have updated our graph to include a breakdown of the arrestees by their respective arresting agency. We will continue to include this information moving forward.

This data is required by TCA 40-7-(1-5) and is reported monthly to the District Attorney General’s Conference in Nashville. This requirement is in addition to the 287g Jail Enforcement Program that will begin later this year.
