To a man who knows nothing about carpentry, every man approaching a nail with a hammer is an elitist we need to drive out of Washington DC.

The best part of the Kid Rock set is when the actors they hired to pretend to be a string duet clearly had never heard the song before, so when the cello does a norm descencion he randomly decides to go way up and stay there. The violinist is noodling around during melodic runs.

The roman statue pfps will look you dead in the eye and tell you that conservatives spend their days debating the merits of the 1608 Quarto version of King Lear versus the 1623 Folio version.
Candace on Charlie & psychic phenomena: "Charlie & I spoke a lot about his third eye. The street lamps that would go off when he would run. We spoke about the fact that we could both astral project."

People are treating this rapist freak's email inbox like it's the source code of the universe and I genuinely don't think we're coming back from this.
Epstein email leaks confirm what television shows like The OA and Stranger Things have been telling us for years: when trauma based mind control fractures someone’s psyche, the victim gains psychic abilities. Science is just coming full circle to ancient demonic practices.

@clairlemon as I keep saying and will continue to say: people don't care about child sexual abuse or the sexual abuse of young women and girls (or boys, for that matter) nearly as much as they pretend to

Treat people who operate in good faith like human beings operating in good faith, no matter how repugnant you may find their opinions. But treat people who operate in bad faith like people who operate in bad faith, whether that be mocking them or ignoring them altogether.

OT1H, this is a sentiment in which I believe deeply. OTOH, it's probably best reserved for normal, everyday people operating in good faith, and not clickbait Discourse hacks who will be perfectly happy to do it all again in a week if there's $$$ and clicks to be made doing it.
You gain nothing by shaming people who admit they were wrong in 2024 and are now speaking out. The only way out of this mess is to bring people back to common sense and reality. We need more who are willing to say they were wrong—and we have to make it easier for them to do that,

Trump ran on an urban legend about Haitians eating cats and Harris ran on expanding Medicare.
The Democrats have accomplished something that would seem to be impossible: They have made their own party seem like the crazier of the two. NYT's Tom Edsall analyzes (with quotes from many moderates, including me).

That deep-cut joke goes out to seven or so people on this website who both know what that 70s Disco song and that Jennifer Aniston rom-com were about.

I'm literally a restaurant waiter with an incomplete degree and I could have told you what was coming. How do these people have jobs

If you are a political commentator in the United States and you are choosing to admit in 2026 that you have realized that you badly underestimated how bad Donald Trump is: this should be something you are admitting in a letter announcing your retirement from public life

@mattBernius It's from @RTodKelly : “One bizarre aspect of Trumpism as a philosophy is that it relies on a belief that video and audio recordings of things don’t exist.” We apply it when MAGA says something that is easily contradicted by video and audio.

Watch the video and judge for yourself if I "tripped" the photographer or if he stumbled and nearly squashed me
Larry the cat tripped up a photographer as he exited Downing Street following Polish president Karol Nawrocki's meeting with Sir Keir Starmer on Tuesday, 13 January. Karol Nawrocki visited Number 10 to thank the PM for the UK soldiers stationed in his country as part of the UK’s

We're all laughing at this right now, but if the past decade of MAGA & influencers has taught us anything, it's that in 12 months this is going to be part of some widely held belief on the right that the rest of us are going to have to deal with.
Candace Owens is now pushing that Charlie Kirk was a TIME TRAVELLER - and that he had "AGENTS" (yes, like the Matrix) monitoring him from childhood - and that he was killed because he tried to DISTURB space-time continuum. No, I'm not kidding.
