We agree that strategy is important and can help execution be efficient. But strategy on a blank piece of paper is hard and intimidating.

We often hear the word “table stakes” to justify features when there is no clear product strategy. Use the Radical Product toolkit to define your northstar and RDCL strategy so you never have to add anything to your roadmap just because “your competition has it”

Metrics that don’t matter are actually harmful rather than just useless! Measure what matters! Read more about how to decide which metrics actually help you achieve your vision at our blog on https://t.co/nenebS8kmO!

Even though NPS has been solidly debunked in many smart research papers, it’s still solidly embedded into many businesses. We hear about companies rolling out new NPS measurement programs every day.

@ShiraOvide Great article. Snap's features were meant to increase ad revenues but that didn't pan out. Here's an analysis of why that happened and why Snap was forced to roll back the changes. An important lesson for tech companies on what not to do in a prod release:

@CaseyNewton @TaylorLorenz Great analysis on what prompted the redesign. Here's our post building on your work - it explains why the redesign didn't generate the revenues it was designed to generate and why users didn't just get used to the new interface as Snap CEO said they would.

Measuring what matters is hard unless the metrics are tied to a vision and strategy grounded in that vision. Unfortunately, vanity metrics make people believe they are being data driven!

Yesterday an MBA student tried to make the case that "utility" was a reasonable metric for customer satisfaction. I'm still sad.
