No it doesn't "preserve the poem's essence." A poem's essence is its language, not one literal rendering of its narrative content. This is "The Heresy of Paraphrase" in action, advanced by people whose intelligence in one field convinces them that they possess mastery in others.
Holy Moly! Just asked #ChatGPT to modernize & condense Shelleyโs โOzymandiasโโit nailed it! Mind-blowing how it preserves the poemโs essence in so few words. The future of AI-driven language is here. #AI #NLP #poetry

Have just received a bit good news via e-mail. Thank you all for your prayers! They do work!!.
Friends, I have had no income since 14 September and we have had to borrow money from family members in order to afford groceries and pay our mortgage. This canโt go on much longer. No charity is desired, except for your prayers. For those, you have our thanks. ๐๐ป.

*Extremely* good news from today's ultrasound: no heart issues detected. Everything is normal. Thank you all so much for your prayers!!.
To-day, my wife's ultrasound showed an irregular heartbeat for the baby. We ask that, in your charity, you pray this clears up (as the doctors are hopeful it might). Thank you all ever so much, in advance.

Even better update to-day; not only cancer-free, but no surgery needed as well. Thank you all for your prayers, and thanks be to God!.
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for my stepfather. It has been an arduous month, and he has been in the hospital several times, and really quite ill, but the latest test results are nothing short of a prayer come true. Not cancer, despite that being the original.

Very positive news today: the roofing company sent a man out who admitted that it hadn't been done correctly, and that they will fix everything under warranty at no cost. Thanks be to God!.
Terrible news from the inspector in re. the roof and crawlspace today. Moisture, mold, etc. Insurance probably won't cover the fortune it will cost to fix, and we haven't got a bean. One entertains fantasies of fleeing into the woods to live atop a tree.

A world without people would not be some kind of great โecological achievementโ: it would be completely meaningless, because only *people* value such things (and only some people, at that), and they wouldnโt exist.
we once considered suicidal ideation a severe mental illness. now it's celebrated in the pages of our most storied literary magazines.

As a new Assistant Editor, I have one goal for the magazine, one lofty target at which to aim: the replacement of the word 'fall' (from the poetic clichรฉ 'the fall of the leaf') with the word 'autumn'. I have a year to make my case. Dream big!.
In today's post, this marvelous issue of @EuroConOfficial, beautifully laid out with an eye to aesthetic detail on every page, touching on one vital issue after another: political, social, cultural, spiritual.

@yuanyi_z Throwing my copy of Narnia to the floor, bellowing, 'Kings and Queens don't come from another world! That's not how royal succession works!'.

@bernardtjoy Day-Lewis did a remarkable job but it is unlikely that anyone will probably ever best Paul Giamatti as John Adams. An absolute tour de force performance. Impossibly good.

@aelfred_D I love that The Atlantic can't quite work out something 'just being funny.' It's a totally foreign concept to them.

Today, it was my keen pleasure to introduce @d_n_keane to this poem, which I think might be the best poem written since the turn of the century.

In your charity, please pray for Fr. Goyo. ๐๐ป.
The news I feared is here. I have a big cancerous tumor. They donโt know if they can operate or even shrink. So I guess my next appointment will determine what my future is. I am at peace and at the same time scared. I pray for all who hear the cancer news for first time. Not fun.

Counterpoint: all of the non-herditary peers should be removed fron the House of Lords, instead.
All remaining hereditary peers will be removed from the House of Lords next summer, ministers announced as they said the โaccident of birthโ should not give people the right to make laws. Should hereditary peers be removed from the House of Lords? . More:

Thank you all ever so much for your extraordinarily kind replies, and especially for your prayers. My father died on the feast of St. Joseph the Worker. His whole life, he worked hardโharder than anyone I've ever known, and right to the end, too.
I should be very grateful if, in your charity, you might please remember my father, Phillip, in your prayers. He died on 1 May, three years ago. I miss him ever so much. Thank you. ๐๐ป.

The students use AI to do the work. The faculty use AI to create and grade the work. The admin want AI to replace everyone but themselves. It's time to shut the whole thing down. No one involved seems to care about the actual process of human education.

Today is my first column in @EuroConOfficial!. What does Malory's Holy Grail suggest about the Common Good?.

The unchosen limits of human existence are not an evil to be transcended; they are what make us human. Our negotiation of them unites us across all places and times. They are the outline of humanity's shape. Without them, one cannot be humanโnor anything, for that matter.
What is the fork to which President @nayibbukele refers? In my view, it is between two very different projects for political life. One is an endless quest for individual liberation from all unchosen constraints โcustomary, social, even biological. The other is the project of.

@ellipsisTG But it was written before 1970! Who now can fathom the impenetrable mystery of its language?.

@GrayConnolly โItโs a gross failure of design that my very minority view canโt be imposed upon the nationโs founding document!โ. These people are really telling on themselves, especially given all their jaw about โattacks on democracyโ.
