Hello @sudhirchaudhary, it is a very good practice to ask questions, wish you had practised this where it mattered. Anyway, coming back to the question. Why use a VPN? There are many reasons to use one if you can afford it. I have been using a VPN for three to four years. My
Can any IT expert here explain this ? Why should anyone living in India - where there is no ban or a firewall (like in China or Turkey) - use a VPN at all? Why hide behind a foreign server?

PhD interview season is back, so here’s my advice: For prospective PhD students, choosing a supportive mentor is 100 times more important than choosing a supervisor simply because they are at a top or famous institution.

A packed meeting last night, a first protest today, and a community that won’t be ignored - our unity is our strength! 🤝 The Finglas Bus Action Group is only getting started. We'll keep up the campaigning until we have a bus service that works for everybody! 🚌

If it takes the average person 6+ months to grasp a new role, why are Ministers constantly reshuffled within a year? How can you implement longterm change that way? How can someone with 0 finance background lead finance for a country? No shade intended, I'm just fascinated

The RSS lobbying in the United States is no surprise. After the abrogation of Article 370 on Kashmir, the Modi government has intensified lobbying in America through a range of instruments. Not too long ago, in 2021, I stumbled on something rather bizarre. The Democratic Party

I did print my survey results & plastered my walls with the responses to the open-ended questions: 175 people x 7 questions = 1,225 detailed responses I'd sleep & wake up looking at them, using marker pens to arrive at themes. Eventually @NVivoSoftware helped analyse them best

I conducted an online survey among older women in India. 3 languages. 175 responses. A qualitative survey like never before. Apart from demographic Qs, there are rich responses to 7 open-ended questions. Only with @NVivoSoftware was I able to derive analysis of new perspectives
I seriously don't get this obsession with coding around qualitative research. When did this shift happen? I still enjoy analysing my data without software.

The average employee in Dublin earns €49,500. A newly qualified teacher earns under €42,500. A nurse just over €37,000 and a garda less than €39,000, if not doing shift work. None of them meet the (€56,000) minimum salary requirement for a one-bedroom ‘affordable’ apartment.
Applications for 99 affordable purchase homes in Dublin will open later this month. One-bed apartments will cost between €248k and €332k; two-bed apartments will cost between €320k and €414k and three-bed houses will cost between €378k and €473k. https://t.co/dQZiI2KIxh

Here's my explainer on how Ireland elected a woman as its President for the third time. It's not often that a journalist gets the ample space to describe an event with great detail, for an international audience. Which is why I'm so grateful to @NWM_India for publishing this ♀️
Ireland’s recent Presidential election was special: the two main women contenders vied for the position based not on their gender but on their political beliefs. Story link: https://t.co/IoPwhH8mNn ✍️ @Pri_Borpujari

It’s amazing to see young Indians so inspired by Zohran Mamdani’s win in New York. But while we celebrate progressive victories abroad, let’s not miss what’s happening at home. Rahul Gandhi just presented how 25 lakh votes disappeared in Haryana. Our own democracy, our own

A poor Punjabi carpenter built his daughter’s first bat with his own hands. They mocked him for letting her play cricket. Years later, Amanjot Kaur became a World Cup winner with Team India, one of the most consistent performers of the tournament. This is Father's faith & love

“Everyone wants a safe, secure place to live, to be able to plan for the future, to feel they have a voice that is being listened to. All of us need to get off our phones & engage with people one-on-one. That is the real lesson from Connolly’s victory: all politics is local.” ☘️
