For those paying attention, this isn't surprising, but it's disheartening. Despite what provinces say, please protect yourself & others by masking up with a well-fitted respirator (N95 or equivalent). Your health isn't worth their political cowardice.

NS, if you don't start taking precautions, it's likely that you'll become sick with Covid. We're experiencing the highest rates of infection in the country: 1 of every 20 Nova Scotians is infected. Test, wear a well-fitted mask, stay home if you're sick, ventilate, add HEPA units

Nova Scotia, about 1 in 15 people are infected with Covid. The best (and currently only) way to prevent long Covid is to avoid infection. Wear an N95 (or equivalent) mask in public spaces. We have the highest rate of disability in the country & we should protect each other.

Not one elected representative in NS has called for a return to masking, which would immediately reduce transmission of viruses. Perhaps it's because they fear a loud fascist minority. This doesn't bode well for the future of democracy.

The @nsgov @nshealth must communicate the detrimental effects of Covid infections & reinfections. The majority of Nova Scotians are taking massive health risks because they genuinely don't know that this is a debilitating virus. @zachchurchill @ChenderClaudia @TimHoustonNS

This hasn't gone well in any of the other provinces. What a terrible decision. "Nova Scotia’s two health authorities plan to drop COVID-19 masking requirements in some areas of their facilities this week..."

One of the most frustrating parts of this pandemic is constantly being told to do things that aren't available for the majority of the population: Get a PCR test! -can't. the current restrictions prevent most Nova Scotians from PCRs
