We are so excited to partner with @PhillyEnergy and @HabitatPhilly to develop a Grays Ferry Resilience Hub in Grays Ferry. This project will bring 189 home repairs and green jobs training to more than 50 people in Grays Ferry.

We can’t let these developers try to divide and conquer by saying they care about Black people. These same billionaires are colluding together in my neighborhood right now to develop a Bellwether District and an arena in Chinatown, and we’re not going to let them @PhillyThrive

@CouncilmemberKJ As the city prepares its budget, we want @PhillyMayor and @CouncilmemberKJ to remember that a budget is a moral document. Will Philadelphia’s budget invest in the programs that actually keep us safe? Unless our communities are reinvested in, the violence is not going to stop.

Over the last two months, two of our friends have been gunned down, Black men whose lives were cut short decades too soon. Philly residents need home repairs, and we know home repairs are a key part of reducing violence, so why isn’t our city making them more accessible?.

Home repairs fight displacement. Home repairs keep families safe and healthy. Home repairs prevent violence and save lives. All levels of government should unite around repairing our homes. This is a must-read by my friends over at @PhillyThrive.
