Hi, @Tesco, to appease the morons, next year, can you please make sure that every product you sell in the month of December has the word "Christmas" emblazoned upon its packaging in gaudy tinselly font. I mean, make it an eyesore, please. Ta.

On Tesco's website I found 'Christmas dinner', 'Christmas treats', 'Christmas gifts' . . . But a fruit cake didn't have the word 'Christmas' emblazoned upon its box. I have, of course, told the family that Christmas is already ruined but that we must try to carry on.

Surely you have enough evidence now @SteveReedMP @RachelReevesMP @Keir_Starmer that bats and newts are not the blockers you claimed they were so you can stop trying to cut environmental protections. Listen to science please. Don’t make me say I told you so again! Scrap pt 3!

Two really depressing things about yesterday's vote against nature (Planning & Infrastructure Bill). Firstly, it was so predictable, because Labour hates nature. Secondly, MPs are still being briefed that the Bill is good for nature, despite ALL evidence to the contrary.

Fuck @UKLabour and fuck their ecocidal economics
Planning Bill Update: All of the nature friendly amendments have been rejected by the government. That means no protections for endangered species, no mitigation hierarchy, no swift bricks, no protections for irreplaceable habitats like chalk streams. This is unacceptable! 1/ 🧵

Wow. The government is trying to deliver a full ‘don’t-give-a-flying-****-about-nature with 67 last minute amendments designed to “tackle blockers”. No swift bricks despite them BEING BRICKS. Email me at thefeatherspeech@gmail.com for a template for your MP

Swifts are one of many species in rapid decline because of human activity. If we don't act, the time will come when they no longer return to our towns and villages. I'm backing the campaign to get Swift Bricks in new builds and bring back hope for these brilliant birds. 🪶

Is anyone else worried there is nowhere near enough public / nature outcry with regards to the absolutely devastating Planning and Infrastructure Bill? Anyone who cares personally and professionally should we doing all they can to STOP PART 3 OF THE BILL.
