The problem isn’t that ICE is enforcing the law. The problem is that ICE is acting lawlessly.

Another important corrective. ICE leads the public to believe it has to flood the streets to remove the "worst of the worst" when in many, many cases they're just bragging about routine handovers that required absolutely no street deployments.

On Monday the Minnesota Department of Corrections accused @DHSGov of "publishing false arrest claims at scale," highlighting 68 cases where DHS suggested they were saving Minnesotans from dangerous criminals when in reality they just picked them up at prison in a routine handoff.

It's important for people to understand that Trump isn't just "enforcing the rule of law" in his immigration crackdown. They've detained and shackled people with legal status, including refugees, for no good reason. That's worth serious protest all on its own.

The Trump administration should be able to do immigration enforcement, argues @bonniekristian, without defying the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments—and most of all “without executing people like Alex Pretti in the streets.”

Citizen videos again showing our government is lying. This is not a dangerous person intent on ambushing police. I know guns are dangerous, Jesus Christ I know that. But guns in holsters aren’t. And you can’t push for universal carry & then claim that carrying a gun warrants this

Videos analyzed by @nytimes appear to contradict DHS accounts that the man approached agents with a handgun and the intent to “massacre” them. Footage shows the man holding a phone in his hand, not a gun, when agents take him to the ground.

Do not let anyone tell you that you shouldn't record law enforcement (so long as you're not physically impeding them). Citizen video has decisively rebutted the administration's lies. The evidence of our eyes contradicts the dishonesty of the administration's words.

60 years ago, MLK warned about "giant triplets" corroding the nation... racism, extreme materialism and militarism. Somalian-Americans labeled "garbage," a White House dripping in gold, military action threatened against allies and US cities. We need to do better.
