Members of Congress shouldn’t be trading stocks in the same companies they vote on. The American people know this, and they’re ready for Speaker Johnson to bring a bill to the floor to finally stop insider trading in Washington. https://t.co/NEXEJBG55l

A bipartisan group in the House is looking to ban lawmakers from trading individual stocks as part of an effort to increase accountability in Congress.

Local police need the tools to do their jobs. This week I joined Johnston PD to celebrate new radios and two new motorcycles I secured with federal funding.

November is #PancreasAwarenessMonth, an important time to remind ourselves of the need to fund research, better access to care, and screening to prevent and treat pancreatic diseases.

Social Security is a lifeline for Rhode Island seniors, but the benefits formula doesn’t always match real rising costs. I’m co-sponsoring the Protecting and Preserving Social Security Act to update the cost of living formula so that seniors can live in dignity.

For 15 years, the Johnston Association of Firefighters has collected toys during the holiday season for their annual Toys for Tots drive – an amazing tradition that helps bring joy to kids from families in need.

I spent the afternoon with Cranston teachers and the Cranston Teachers Alliance to hear directly about what they need in the classroom, and to share my work pushing back against draconian cuts to the Department of Education and other programs that help teachers succeed.

This is what dysfunction looks like: open enrollment is underway, premiums are soaring, and millions still don’t know if the Affordable Care Act tax credits they count on will be restored. We need to act now to extend the ACA. https://t.co/K70F0CgLeM

Members of Congress should serve the American people, not try to get rich off their positions. I will keep fighting until our bill to ban congressional stock trading passes and we finally clean up the corruption in Washington. From @wpri12 🎥

Children can't vote, so they need adults to be their champions. At today’s @RIKidsCount luncheon, I discussed my work to fight back against Republican cuts to Medicaid & the Affordable Care Act, & why we must have universal pre-K and guarantee free school meals for every child.

Today I joined @JohnstonPolice to introduce two new motorcycles & radio equipment that will help officers keep RIers safe & respond to emergencies faster. I secured the federal funding for these upgrades because supporting the safety of officers and civilians must be a priority.

Proud to secure $750k for Wood River Health to expand its Hope Valley facility. With patient visits doubling, this upgrade will help more Rhode Islanders get the quality, affordable care they rely on.

A new report shows Rhode Islanders paid an extra $579 per person this year because of inflation. For families already stretched thin, that is unbearable. We have to end Trump’s tariffs, fund health care, and get affordable clean energy on to the grid.

President Trump promised to lower costs. With Thanksgiving around the corner, his tariffs are making it harder for millions of Americans to put food on the table.

Vance says that Americans need patience. What they actually need are leaders who understand that groceries, energy, and basic necessities are too expensive, thanks in large part to Trump’s tariffs. People cannot afford to wait this out.
