and @wvschaik and me had the opportunity to write a perspective on this. The takeaway message? Be cautious in the use of colistin, for resistance can arise relatively easily. https://t.co/n1aBKVOFoR

Cool and important paper out from Malmstrom labs (Lund University) where they elucidated the structural details of StrepA M1 interaction with human IgG. Important for rational M-based vaccine design https://t.co/9dQzX7QVgR

Finally we tried to look at the plasmidome using @Sergi_Arredondo MLPlasmids - we found signal of a diverse plasmidome even in isolates which are closely related at the core genome level. Replicons appeared to be largely genus restricted, though there was some overlap...

K. pneumoniae strains can develop colistin resistance through many evolutionary trajectories once exposed to colistin. This includes single nucleotide polymorphisms, insertions and deletions, and the integration of insertion sequence elements. #AACJournal https://t.co/u36tNeH8dE

Inhibiting the immune system can impede cancer treatment, how is still largely unclear. In a perspective for @NatRevImmunol @LindeMeyaard introduces a framework to classify different immune receptors which control the response: https://t.co/ZsDjZLkutb @UMCUtrecht @YaleMed
