Basically, if you accuse her of gross hypocrisy in pursuing lucrative civil law home repossessions during the worst recession in Irish history & then running a presidential campaign on the promise of a human right to housing for every Bomalian, you are a far right smear merchant.
Can someone explain how this isn't true? And if true, how is it a new low? Catherine Connolly took money from banks to evict people, but is disgusted by people saying she got money from banks to evict people? What?

@PetersReceipts Cult leaders are attractive to the less intelligent. Even smarter ones twist their intelligence to preserve their self-image as "good." CC, a psychologist, manipulates her less intelligent followers while flattering the sharper ones. #catherineconnolly

Like Connolly, Robinson was also facilitated by a feckless mistake by FF which took their candidate out of the running. Robinson's ground game was led by the far left through the Labour Party and the Workers' Party, the political wing of the stickies who later joined Labour.
Contrary to popular opinion, Connolly doesn't come across as particularly nice or compassionate. She actually comes across a lot like Mary Robinson who was a very cold mannered barrister and careerist. Connolly displays passive aggression and subtly threatens her questioner here

A housing activist challenges Catherine Connolly as being the "barrister for the banks" in Galway. "I don't understand how you can make speeches about homelessness if you're partly responsible for evicting people out of their homes" #aras25

What can we learn from this? Arguing with people like this is a waste of time. I decided a while ago to simply focus on my own direction. By arguing with a fanatic you tire yourself out and reinforce their distorted world view. Hence, much of social media is not productive.
The left are religious. Their politics is secularised theology. They are fanatical and can be solidified around a representative very easily. For them, Connolly cannot do wrong because she is "good" and all outside are "evil". All criticism is a conspiracy to destroy her.

This man did all that he could in the face of egregious provocation. The vast majority of people in rural Ireland view him as the legend he was. God bless him.
This week, 21 years ago, Padraig Nally defended his home by shooting burglar & trespasser frog Ward. RIP Padraig, you legend. https://t.co/aenRAZYzW5

The Higgins cult is fully activated now. No questions for dear leader. Flanked by kefiyahs and foreign flags. Seals clapping, cheering like a Repeal the 8th Nuremberg rally. Unrepentant boomerism. Welcome the stranger and evict your own. The Irish solution to an Irish problem.

Multiculturalism is a component of imperialism. You will demonise the West for the sins of imperialism but then celebrate how it created the modern world you love. You aren't a serious intellectual because you start from a position of dishonesty and follow it with contradiction.
As an outsider, it really mesmerizes me how a People descended from the mixture of Angles, Saxons, Danes and Normans, who united their kingdom with Scots and Welsh, to then set up an empire in 4 continents, could claim multiculturalism is contrary to its national identity

Another takeaway from the election. The cult around Higgins has been successfully grafted on to Connolly. I would wager there was a deliberate strategy to do so. Her halo will allow her to preside over another 7 years of narcissistic human rights boomerism while the nation dies.

Apparently people in Ireland were not evicted from their homes by financial institutions even though Catherine Connolly admitted to representing those very financial institutions. Apparently it was all their fault they weren't able to afford Catherine's fees.

Because these cases weren't criminal, there is no aid legal aid for the victims. I know several personally. They were brought through legal proceedings with no ability to defend themselves while the state bailed out the financial institutions.

Maybe you weren't here then but many people were driven out of their homes and to suicide by financial institutions who evicted them and repeatedly resold their mortgages. These families often could not afford legal recourse but people like Connolly profited from the misery.

There a many Israelis living in West Bank settlements who were born there and lived their whole lives there. Irish leftists would have zero problem saying that their being born there doesn’t mean they belong there. Yet at the same time, they think someone who’s parents came
Almost everyone in this pic is Irish. They never had a choice as to where their parents were born. Michael, you are a fucking creep. There are 18 and 17 year olds in this pic. Who will probably do way more than you You're a creepy, divisive, dehumanising, sad little fuck

BTFO'd by Grok. Just stop.
@MattTreacy111 @grok is it true that Catherine Connolly and her SF, Labour and other backers are opposed to sending even evidently bogus asylum seekers home?

If we don't start to look upon ourselves as a distinct and unique people we will be cast aside by those who do.

This country has so much potential. Economic, social, cultural, you name it. And its all being thrown away for GDP line go up.
@LastGael It's utterly depressing how lacking in vision and pride our establishment is. There is such enormous potential in what seems like obvious duty to bring our emigrants/diaspora back and revive our culture in a great nation building project.

Still waiting for China to collapse any day now. Meanwhile, Asian racism is proving that you don’t need to replace your own people and dump your parents into a nursing home staffed by Bomalians. Mass immigration is simply a continuation of 17th century economic thinking.
Following WWII, Western nations were increasingly turned into plantations where indentures from former colonies are imported to drive stakeholder profits. All the economic and social consequences are passed on to the bankrupted state. China proves that immigration is unnecessary.
