Brilliant morning at Y10M being supported by my brilliant family π Had such an enjoyable run, nowhere near a PB but felt strong throughout, and flew up that final hill for the first time ever! Really good to see @steven23gall & @Progradar #YourWeekendRuns @RunComPod

Fomo got the better of me this week - so I entered the @RunYorkshire 10miler π Nice little progression run this morning to wake the legs up. This weather would do nicely for race day, a huge improvement on last year @RunComPod βοΈπͺοΈ #YourWeekendRuns

A long awaited return to Millfield Parkrun this weekend @RunComPod , set off way too fast and suffered for it! 6:21-6:47-6:52 π€·π»ββοΈ Legs feeling a bit beaten up today, probably not helped by last nights food, cocktails and numerous pints of asahi in York πΊπ₯΄ #YourWeekendRuns

Capping off solid week of running with a steady 8 on Saturday morning @RunComPod Just short of 20 miles for the week π Forgot to take any pics, so here are a few from Friday evenings trip to Saltburn for fish & chips. A pretty stunning sunset π

Gradually trying to build some fitness with 7 steady miles on Friday, followed by a scenic 5k progression run on Sunday morning to top off a 15 mile week. Great to be running regularly again! Lovely weekend finished with lunch in York π€© #YourWeekendRuns @RunComPod

A bit late for #YourWeekendRuns but a fun weekend nonetheless. The comeback continues with my longest run in months π₯³ and a catch up with @RunComPod, new shoes AND a visit to Beamish + Flying Scotsman action at Locomotion in Shildon π πββοΈ

So yesterday was my first attempt at jogging post meniscus surgery and first in 3 months. Inspired by @DeeringRob mammoth efforts. 2 miles of 1 minute jog/walk intervals and taking it very easy. Itβs not much butβ¦ IM BACK!β¦..I thinkβ¦..I HOPE!! @RunComPod

Spending birthday eve morning at Clifton park hospital in York-getting my torn meniscus fixed up following my treadmill incident. Woke up famished afterwards, lunch was most welcome π Itβs almost 3 months since Iβve been able to run. Canβt wait to get started again @RunComPod

Finally caught up with @RunComPod today listening to April fools? Yes we are. Great fun listening to @PaulTonkinson last minute prep - Behdehbede! Can also sympathise @DeeringRob as Iβm restricted to weight training after a treadmill fall months back - suspected torn meniscus ππ»

After suffering various injuries following York marathon, one of which was a Frank Spencer esque treadmill fall, IβM BACK! Slower and heavier than before π But after 6 weeks of virtually no running, itβs brilliant to be back out again AND I need to get caught up on @RunComPod

After picking up a slight niggle/strain, Sunday was looking doubtful. Did an unusually sensible thing, took a week off. Plucked up the courage for a run last night and I'm pretty much fixed! π₯³ Didn't want to be letting the @RunComPod York massive down! π @RunYorkshire GO!

Last long one this morningπ I was feeling yesterday's Parkrun in my legs by the end but good to go into the taper with a solid effort banked. Consistent mileage for the last 3 weeks. Ready to recover now, I'm knackered π @RunComPod @RunYorkshire

Along with the old guy, Poppy & Imogen made up team Winder this morning, not forgetting Aoife H (far right). A sunny Millfield Parkrun βοΈ 19:04 and 2nd place - William Keens first by a mile.... Obviously!! π Last long one tomorrow, then taper time! π΄ @RunComPod

All about the hills on Saturday @RunComPod 1500ft of elevation on the penultimate "long run". Lovely route taking in Easingwold, Yearsley, Oulston, Coxwold and Hustwhaite. Felt pretty strong throughout. In comparison to this afternoons 4 mile recovery jog that felt awful!

22 miles of being dragged along by a much faster runner than me this morning! 14 @ MP+ I was clinging on for the last 6 of those π₯΅ Quality session banked, even the Garmin approved π A restorative Wagamama was just the ticket π #YourWeekendRuns @RunComPod
