Hurrah for Friday! After a couple of days rest due to a mysterious leg knock, I was back running this morning. I can see the weekend for here! @RunComPod

Great North 10k this morning, great fun and some great running. James got a 10k PB 🚨 with 32:28 (12th place), 15 secs quicker than his previous PB. A course PB for me of 48:09 (1,222nd 😂), 12 secs quicker than last year @RunComPod

Listening to @RunComPod Marathon Training: Four Months Out episode on our way to Newcastle for tomorrow's Great North 10k (which will be week 1's long run for my marathon training plan!)

Still as wet underfoot for the run home, but this morning's rain had been replaced by midges (how many midges equalate to an energy gel?). I was 1 minute quicker uphill than this morning's run in (downhill), so celebrated with an ice lolly. @RunComPod

I chose the trail route to work this morning. It was hardly @DeeringRob RTTK adventure but those 5 miles had plenty of mud, rain and nettles to toughen up my legs ahead of Sunday's Great North 10k. @RunComPod

This morning I ran Livingston Parkrun while Suzy did her own thing running intervals. Who knew you could run in a park on a Saturday morning without doing a Parkrun?!? She's such a rebel. @RunComPod

Just listened to @RunComPod Yorkshire Marathon bonus episode. Thanks @DeeringRob & @PaulTonkinson for your insightful hints & tips. You can look at a race course map & elevation profile but hearing from those who have ran it brings it to life. So push up hill at the end for a PB?.

Pre work session of 10 mins at half marathon pace (90 secs recovery), 2 x 5 mins at 10k pace (60 secs recovery) & 2 x 3 mins at 5k pace (30 secs recovery). Minimum time but maximum effort! Rabbits, swan, robins & a mole spotted as I ran. Lifts the spirits 😁 @RunComPod

Oriam Parkrun for James, Suzy and I. Abbie's calf injury kept her on the sidelines. A course PB for me with 23:47. 2 mins 6 secs quicker than my previous PB for this new course and 25 secs quicker than my PB for the old course. @RunComPod

A tad warm on the run home so my recovery ice lolly in the garden felt well earned. @RunComPod

Easy paced 5k to start the day. Aimed for progressively quicker each km, slight hiccup with km 2 and 3 😆 @RunComPod

7am start this morning for me to set out the routes for LRC Dechmont Trail Races (2.5k, 6.5k & 10k). Fantastic effort from the Events Team, marshalls & volunteers to make this amazing event happen. James finished 2nd in the 10k race in a rapid time of 37:34 @RunComPod

Wet and muddy at Livingston Parkrun today. Legs were feeling tired & tight after Thursday evening's race despite this morning's dog walk, yoga & warm up run. Got round & felt better for it. Parkrun 232 done, that 250 milestone t-shirt is getting closer! @RunComPod

This feathered fellow appeared as soon as I sat down to eat my post race chippy dinner. All I could hear in my head was @DeeringRob singing "SEAGULL ATTACK". @RunComPod
