In addition to legal guardrails, continue to think we need transparency of allowing cameras in court. Every City Zoning Board hearing this decade is on youtube, but no one can watch the hearing referenced in this piece that led to woman being held w/o bail on made up charges

Law professors, state’s attorneys and advocates maintain adding stronger guardrails to the process could better protect Marylanders from being falsely accused: https://t.co/o2uyZ0WVjv (via @BaltimoreBanner)

50 Cent can produce four hours about another man’s violence toward women while his own history goes unquestioned. That’s not incidental to hip-hop’s reckoning with misogyny. It IS the reckoning. My latest: https://t.co/7MmPLf5cI4

Proud to be a part of shaping the development policy (which should reinforce the public safety wins) with @MayorBMScott. Himself a renter until 2 years ago, I think he has a unique perspective on housing from most other mayors / county execs

the most under-appreciated local government success over the past three years? it’s actually Baltimore imo -murders down 60% -major pro-housing reforms including ending parking mandates, legalizing single-stair buildings, and permitting denser housing

See also, the @Ravens game w @marlon_humphrey robbed of a pick. The Down Judge closest to play drops the bean bag, but Referee, ~20 yds away declares the "ruling on the field" to be forward progress called. This is then upheld despite there being zero "football move" w possession

In addition to the whole second hearing before the planning commission still to come, there will be *at minimum* a council committee hearing for each and every one of these bills, followed by three considerations by the entire council. Just how many input points do you need?

And we're achieving home values in formerly redlined communities like Park Heights that just about cover the cost of rehab, but still low enough that with just a $5k down payment, this woman's mortgage payments are just $200 more than what she was previously paying in rent

Truly historic council agenda in Baltimore last night: eliminating parking requirements, single-stair-reform, upzoning all single-family zones.

Same. Though it's an easy giveaway when the emailer who I saw earlier that week or even that day, starts off with "I hope you're doing well."

Unfortunately I now recognize GPT's writing style too well and, if it's not been heavily edited, can usually spot it. And I see it everywhere. Blogs, tweets, news articles, video scripts. Insanely aggravating.

Through April for the year, there have been 39 homicides in Baltimore. This is by far the fewest recorded for that period in the past 55 years, with the previous fewest through April being 49 homicides in 1977. After that, it's 56 in 2010 and 2014
