I have always condemned acts of terrorism without equivocation. I said so explicitly in my interview on Nolan (excerpt below), but political opponents omit that key part of the interview when they selectively post. Politicking on such a sensitive issue is, frankly, grotesque.

Pleased that the Executive supported additional funding for PSNI pay in the next monitoring round today. Our police officers work day and night to keep Northern Ireland’s streets safe and deserve to be treated as a priority when it comes to pay uplifts.

Well said @JennaMaghie - this had to be called out There is increasing disrespect, esp towards women, in political conversation. This is not just directed at the individual but at the people who elected them SF ‘Mummy’ jibe at Alliance woman

I can’t roll my eyes enough at this feigned attempt to show concern for Naomi & Michael. There are a lot of politicians who should be taking a long, hard look in the mirror today. I would like to think that this horrid incident will encourage them to review their own actions.
Solidarity with @naomi_long and @CllrMichaelLong, a politicians home should be somewhere they should be safe and feel safe. This is totally unacceptable and @ChiefConPSNI should review all the evidence gathered urgently.

Over the last 25 years I've been in front-line politics, I've engaged with people from all backgrounds and perspectives. I've been open to debating and discussing issues, whether we agreed or not, including on here. Turning up as a mob, some in masks, at my home just isn't on. >

I’m deeply concerned that those publicly announced as Language Commissioners weeks ago have still not received confirmation. The First Minister and deputy First Minister must provide immediate clarity on these appointments, not least for the sake of the nominees themselves

The DUP’s collapse cost us 800 police officers. Alliance is restoring our police service and building a safer, stronger community for everyone. It’s time for all parties to back Naomi Long’s Recovery Plan and support our officers.

My thoughts are with those who lost ones or were impacted in today's terrorist attack in Manchester. Targeting worshippers at a synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, is horrific. Anti-Semitism must never be tolerated.

25,000 of our young people are currently not in education, nor in training, nor in employment. That's young people whose lives have been put on hold, says @dhoneyford. That's why we're calling for the Minister of Economy to take action. 🧑🔧

Just called to chat to the PSNI at the scene - they are just awaiting the NIFRS declaring the house safe. Thx to all the emergency services dealing w/ this - times like this we really appreciate our frontline workers! Four in hospital after incident in SB

Nancy Pelosi shattered the marble ceiling and became Congress's most powerful fundraiser. Now she is stepping aside after nearly 4 decades—and the battle to succeed her is already shaping up to be one of San Francisco's nastiest political fights in memory.

I apologised publicly: I am willing to do so in person. I said I am willing to meet the family (Doug didn't request a meeting when he wrote). I didn't blame @NIPrisons; I accurately described its role. I have requested a review of pre-release testing. Doug is being disingenuous.
This issue is not going away. The family of Jim McFadden says the Justice Minister has not offered a meeting and her apology on Radio Foyle was not appropriate. Pushing the blame to the Prison Service is completely disingenuous @naomi_long

While others want to engage in divisive culture wars to distract from poor delivery, I am out w/ my @allianceparty colleagues in Castlereagh South calling with constituents to engage on the issues that actually matter to them!

The Assembly is back & our first priority is challenging the Education Minister on special educational needs. Too many children have been failed again this year. We’re demanding the Education Minister acts now to ensure this crisis isn’t repeated, says @NickDMathison.

Setting aside that someone with any degree of linguistic insight would know this is wrong (whatever Ulster-Scots speech is, it is more than a mere “accent”), we should be respecting and cherishing diversity. We are surrounded by a richness we should all educate ourselves about.
By the way “fluent in Ulster Scots, means speaks with an Armoy (North Antrim) accent,” I love those people, I grew up with them, I’m even married into them!! They have a fabulous sense of humour and turn of phrase! But they don’t speak a different language!! It’s an accent!!

Glad to see TUV speaking out on unwelcome flags creating a sense of exclusion. I look forward to a consistent stance on this when I raise the issue again in the Chamber.
Auld Lammas Fair is supposed to be for everyone, so sad to have Ballycastle disfigured by Palestinian and Irish tricolours, along with SF pro-Gaza demonstrations.
