Someone recently said to me that things will get worse before they get better, but that is not true. There is no guarantee that anything gets better. Things can just continue getting worse and worse. I can't stop thinking about that today.

This guy assassinated two politicians back in June and it seemed like we moved on by July as if that's just the way things are sometimes. Normalization of political violence will continue to have repercussions.
