To identify sepsis requires good history, clinical exam and more importantly ability to process the info ie joining the dots by critical thinking; all missing these days. Training needs to focus on above not creating just the portfolio @Nigelj08223326.
Don’t disagree that treating sepsis early is important. BUT identifying sepsis early is hard. Just treating everyone with antibiotics quickly also has harm. A short thread 1/n.

We must appreciate the intervention of @DrPramodPSawant in reversing the suspension order. Minister of Health needs training on how to behave in public even if had good intention to ensure citizens get good service. The pt was given wrong advice to go to casualty.

You are spot on. Roads have been built but actually it’s more unsafe and leading to huge number of unnecessary deaths- why?.1. Corruption in issuing licenses .2. No monitoring of the highways .3. No penalty .4. No trained paramedics .5. No proper trauma management in hospitals.

A patient walked into the casualty at GMC Goa demanding Inj Vit B12. B12 is not an emergency, it can be taken anywhere, even after days of delay. The CMO allegedly directed the patient to a CHC. Turns out, the patient was related to a journalist with direct access to Goa Health

Doctors order CT scans because that’s how they are trained. It’s the fault of our training system. The data would suggest that in most cases the guidelines are not followed. The doctors have lost the clinical skills to be able to diagnose without the scan.
