3 days after Xmas and we have our first unwanted Xmas present purchased for children off the Internet, due to the fact the owner can't deal with the kitten pooing! We will pair Sasha up and find her a home where its acceptable for kittens to go to the toilet. 1/2

Completed Sighted Guide training with @guidedogs today. Really valuable experience which brings home some of the difficulties blind and partially sighted people face in all aspects of their daily lives.

We're still really keen to interview Yorkshire miners to record and preserve Yorkshire pit talk! Please email me at: p.cooper@liverpool.ac.uk to get involved! :)
Are you an ex-miner who worked at a pit in South Yorkshire? If so, I’m doing a collaborative project between the University of Liverpool and The Yorkshire Dialect Society on the language of miners, and we’d like to interview you! Email p.cooper@liverpool.ac.uk if interested!

I am feeling v prickly about the decline in hedgehogs. Please read this simple advice to do your bit. Hedgehogs can easily die if you don't check your bonfires carefully before lighting them, so please do that.
A group of hedgehogs is called a prickle, but there are fewer prickles around than ever as their numbers are declining fast. 📸Jonathan Plant

The good natured spats between @OrkneyLibrary and @ShetlandLibrary brighten up my timeline 😂
As our Instagram and Facebook following grows, our Twitter seems to slowly fall, bit by bit. Soon we'll be sitting here, on an island, on our own, talking to some cows, about how it used to be. So we tweet on, cows against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

Essential oils have a wide range of uses in the home, from candles to beauty products, but did you know they can also cause harm to our cats? Most essential oils are toxic to cats, and some oil diffusers shouldn’t be used by cat owners. Learn more: https://t.co/HwndsMihtJ 🕯️
