🚨📢 Our OA paper about a new Oldowan locality (Sare-Abururu) on the Homa Penisula, Kenya is out. This 1.7 Ma quartz-dominated assemblage demonstrates that there was a ton of technological and behavioral diversity across the Homa Peninsula Oldowan. Link: https://t.co/zRk64mmikN

Luxmanda isn't just a cool Tanzanian archaeological site 🇹🇿 - it's a rapidly growing village, and it needs a medical clinic for its underserved community - a place to deliver babies, treat emergencies, provide preventive care. 😷 Will you help us build it?

I put together a guide with illustrations, essential facts, and context for Australopithecus species. Already went to subscribers and students, maybe you will find it useful! https://t.co/fkTIQWHPQq

These ancient human relatives include the first species with evidence of upright walking and running like humans. They represent more than a third of our evolutionary history.

Our open access study out last week discovered what people served from metal cauldrons over 5000 years ago! The amazing organic preservation allowed by the metal surfaces let us see what types of foods were cooked within. https://t.co/ue0ZZaJv5j

It’s officially published! This was such a massive project - at times overwhelming…but the team of editors was amazing and made it worthwhile. FYI - the South Africa section alone has 38 chapters 😀 Thank you so much to everyone who contributed 🫶

I tried to get them to imprint on me, but they were too smart.
On our recent trip to the @Iziko_Museums in Cape Town, each morning @PalaeoJenn and I would pass these little ducklings. Over three weeks we watched them grow from tiny puffballs to awkward teens (still cute though) ❤️❤️❤️ Kids grow up so fast!

I have difficulty receiving reviewer comments. I think it's because my brain interprets the reviewers as being mad at me, rather than them spending their time/effort trying to help me improve. What are your tips for receiving critical feedback on academic work?
