The Kavli Foundation has awarded Stanford and the Kavli Institute of Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology (KIPAC) $5M to join the Via Project, which will attempt to detect cold dark matter halos within the Milky Way and ID Milky Way satellite galaxies.
