When you force a disabled and/or chronically ill person to repeatedly reassert their boundaries, reexplain their limitations, remind you of their humanity, you’re not only causing major distress, you’re robbing them of their very limited energy and demanding they spend it on you.

Really important thread: We now know that the big polling shift the final few weeks wasn’t real. The polls were roughly correct before that final shift. Yet that fake shift set off a chain of events that may have directly cost the Democrats the House majority and 52 Senate seats.

It’s wild to me how everyone has roughly the same “world is ending” feeling right now but some people feel that way because of fascism and climate change while others feel that way, with equal intensity, because of drag queens at libraries and singular they/them pronouns.

So if there’s anything you take where you have to combine multiple doses to get the right amount, check your account. I doubt I’m the only one that @ExpressScripts does this to, and running out of necessary medications really sucks.

You’d think “don’t take meds I’ve been on for over a decade off my account without telling me” would be a given, but I just need to remember that @ExpressScripts is going to do it every few years.

Given that it’s been a few years since @ExpressScripts last did this to me, at which point I had them put a note in my file not to do it again without telling me, I thought I was safe. Silly me.

For example, I take 45 mg of a thyroid medication not available in a 45 mg pill, so I take one 30 mg and one 15 mg. They canceled my 15 mg automatic refills and didn’t tell me. Same for two other medications — the lower strength one was removed from automatic refills.

Hey everybody, if your insurance requires you to use @ExpressScripts, this is a good time to check whether they’ve canceled any of your maintenance med refills. 3 of mine were removed from automatic refills without telling me, AGAIN, because I take multiple dosages.
