What does our close friend know that @AustralianLabor doesn't?

At >1.1 GW per reactor and CSIRO's currency conversion, this is equivalent to ~$114 billion AUD for almost 9 GW. @AustralianLabor told voters 11 GW would cost $600 billion.

We’re partnering with the U.S. Government to support the investment of at least $80 billion in new nuclear power plants using @WECNuclear technology. It is a major step to doubling the more than $500 billion we already have invested in the U.S. Learn more: https://t.co/dDhF3fOdMK

Voters don't realise how much more solar & wind was *actually built* on Angus Taylor's watch.

EVERYBODY who promoted GenCost's "renewables with firming" pseudo-LCOE estimations as if they had some connection to the reality of sustainably affordable electricity supply should now be sitting quietly and watching what's happening to Australian manufacturing.

CSIRO GenCost's Renewables-with-firming didn't actually exist?

Curious if Tomago Aluminium saw the fantastical Liddell replacement plan - and that tempting $83/MWh - promoted widely pre-2022, and believed such a hypothetical "portfolio" could serve the hard, real load profile of the smelter... 🤷

This will be shit for the workers... If Tomago's owners had just listened to the millionaire energy guru, problem would've been solved last year, apparently! https://t.co/g37wDRQSF2

#MattHowell finally concedes that the #tomago smelter is heading towards a renewable future: “our goal would be, by 2029, that the largest load in australia is, for all intents & purposes, 100% renewable.” could actually be done 5 years earlier. https://t.co/gSCN1efBcs

❝In its 2021 review of Spain's energy policy, the IEA warned that shutting down nuclear energy, without ensuring a solid base of low-carbon generation, could compromise the security of the electricity supply. FOUR YEARS BEFORE THE BLACKOUT.❞

@SocDoneLeft The anti nuclear lobby is the equivalent of the original saboteurs. These were the French factory workers who threw their wooden shoes (sabots) into the machinery to break it. They were against mechanization because it reduced manual labour. The anti nuclear zealots have the same

The anti-nuclear movement should be seen as a villain of history, a regressive force that infected the left They choked out nuclear to fill our lungs with coal and our air with carbon
And China is dominating another technology class, one that was supposed to have inherent western advantages . Open link to source article https://t.co/lsbKOzzaLr

We export coal and uranium so other countries can have cheap power to support their metal manufacturing 👀 Meanwhile back home our metal manufacturing going the same way as the Dodo 🦤 #Nuts
