My mum never did. She was saved from Islam, persecuted for her faith, honest and loved us dearly. I saw her lifestyle and copied it. Parents should be the first preachers to their kids. Tell them your salvation story and your walk with God. Show them to the way.

Thank you for your detailed response. I understand you. However, I would like to reiterate some of the points I raised earlier. I agree that God’s providence reigns supreme, but Scripture never suggests that God micromanages every demonic assault as a tool for good.
I understand your concern and I’m not suggesting that every negative family pattern is directly authored by God. What I’m saying is that nothing escapes His sovereign governance, and therefore, even what the enemy intends for evil operates within the limits of God’s providence

The only point where self preservation is sinful is when it is done at the expense of obeying God. Interestingly, even those who argue against self preservation for believers would naturally avoid being knocked down by a moving trailer or wouldn't eat a food that seems poisoned.
