This doesn’t mean local assemblies & dioceses cannot have a singular overseer, they can. But what it proves evidently is that the Lord never ordained His universal body on earth to be headed by any one man. Acts 15 showed how disputes were resolved, councils with no superior.

The direct recipients of the Lord’s instruction for disciples to call no man “Father” or “Rabbi” (because only One is Father & Teacher), were the Apostles. For this, they maintained a synodal administration despite “personal reputation”. That’s one way you know “Papacy” is error.

The Greek word for Bishop in the NT is episkopē, literally “Overseer”. The apostles committed the faithful preaching of the gospel to men: Bishops & Elders. Historically, Bishops, not-far-removed in time from the Apostles Oversaw a number of churches. Cultural context may vary.

Even Salvation, if you don’t keep the doctrine of Christ in mind, and you get into unbelief, your previous “belief” is in vain (1 Cor 15:1-2). You can be robbed of benefits you’ve enjoyed through trusting in Christ if you start believing the wrong things (Col 2:8 and 18).
