@stablecross @OJarod3315 It's so funny that me saying "yes" to the work Christ accomplished makes ME the effectual cause of my own rescue, but you think God immutably determining every sin with specificity and bringing them all to pass, doesn't make him the effectual cause of sin.

@ThugLifeSproul Behold! Pharaoh is more sovereign and more free than God! Genesis 41.39-45 Pharaoh delegates authority and control to Joseph while still retaining all of his own! I can't believe God never thought of that in Genesis 1.28 when he obviously didn't grant "dominion" to Adam!

Original sin? NO! In my experience most Calvinists believe Adam was forgiven, due to the skins God provided for clothing, the promise of redemption in the woman's seed defeating the serpent, the post-fall naming of Eve "the mother of all the living", and the driving out of Eden

@SamSuska @Soteriology101 Prescriptive/decretive. That distinction is important to remember, along with the fact that God’s will is unified, so that distinction is one that deals with aspects of God’s will and context.
