We describe how octopus-fish groups can work, can malfunction, and can lead to benefits! Give it a read and don't forget to see the videos for punching, displacements, and examples of solo vs collaborative hunting!! 🐙🐠🐟 Out in @NatureEcoEvo!!
Scientists have uncovered the secrets of multispecies hunting! Octopuses & fish team up, with fish guiding the hunt and octopuses capturing hidden prey. #UniKonstanz @CBehav+@MPI_animalbehav research reveals incredible interspecies teamwork. @NatureEcoEvo

Octopuses, which are often considered to be solitary animals, have been observed to hunt in groups with different species of fish — including several species of goatfish and groupers — for shared prey such as molluscs and crustaceans. @NatureEcoEvo @NaturePortfolio
