When we talk about "working class" residents and taxes, let's be real about the rates folks pay. Describing NJ as a "high-tax" state ignores that working-class NJans pay *less* in taxes because of our progressive system. Compare NJ with "low-tax" Arkansas

Voting hours in Burlington County have been extended to 9 PM, as a Superior Court judge ordered in response to our lawsuit. Voters should remain patient and not leave – lines have been long, but all votes are important and will be counted.

NY Times management has chosen to ignore worker needs for years. Now they’re trying to blame workers for their own mistakes.
NYT publisher AG Sulzberger emails the Times newsroom saying the NYT Tech Guild strike will likely continue through the election. He says it is “troubling that the Tech Guild would try to block this public service at such a consequential moment for our country.”

Even more offensive given that the “semester” is just something the admin made up. The law requires suspending military aid as soon as they are aware that humanitarian aid is being restricted, which they clearly are. The 30 days is just a way to continue not to enforce the law.

BREAKING: Boeing workers just voted to end their strike and approve a new contract, 59%-41%. After 7 weeks on strike, @IAM751 won an exponentially better deal than Boeing's original offer. It includes a 38% pay raise over four years, a $12k bonus, and 8% match on a 401(k).
