We’re praying for the Charlotte-Mecklenberg police officers, US Marshals, and their family members. No one should face this, ever – especially those bravely working to keep us safe every single day.
Tammy and I are praying for the families of the brave U.S. Marshals who lost their lives today in Charlotte, North Carolina and for the speedy recovery of the law enforcement officers shot in the line of duty.

In New Jersey, we know trans rights are human rights - and state health plans should uphold them. That's why we supported challenges to NC and WV bans on gender-affirming care, and we join in applauding the federal appellate court ruling today.
Breaking news: A federal court in Richmond became the first in the country to rule that state health-care plans must pay for gender-affirming surgeries, a major win for transgender rights amid a nationwide wave of anti-trans activism and legislation.
