Guys, please stop bragging about your academic productivity during this time. Many are juggling: kids at home, family abroad who are at risk, lonely at home, member of a high-risk group, worried about the future etc. Have some freaking compassion. This ain't a writing retreat!

Trying to submit your manuscripts b4 the holidays? Remember that journal editors & reviewers want/need to take time off too. So finish your papers if that makes your feel happy, but don't expect to get 'under review' status until after the holidays & be tolerant of review delays.

The argument that kids are 'resilient' is only uttered by those that are privileged. The idea that young brains are resilient to a repeated disruption of their education, friendships, safe places, food etc, flies in the face of everything we know from Developmental Science.
