The #RegisteredReports (RR) peer review process avoids publication bias, helping clinicians to judge drug efficacy and safety accurately. In this post, @eturnermd1 and @chrisdc77 propose a way to harmonize RR with the FDA drug approval process. Read at:

I am accepting PhD applicants for Fall 2025. I am particularly interested in students interested in meta-science (with a focus on registered reports) and quantitative methods. Each person can have a unique blend of each!

Gino's case against us has been dismissed. Scientists cannot effectively sue other scientists for exposing fraud/errors in their work. Those who work to correct the scientific record can sleep better tonight. Those who don’t want it corrected, well, I don’t care how they sleep.

Nearly 12 yrs after Registered Reports were first introduced in the neuroscience community, and after being disinterested in RRs for many years under previous editors, it's good to see @NatureNeuro finally offering them. Change comes slowly but it comes. https://t.co/kH1VTJQmf0

@annemscheel @lakens @cksoderberg @AoifeOMahony15 Key takeaway from Aoife's work (which we are currently preparing in manuscript form): Registered Reports appear to working as intended. And there is a tonne more work to be done to uncover the nuances of how they differ & to optimise them w/i psychology and across fields. Enjoy.

Fully agree with @IanDunt. After the visceral short term thrill of dumping the Tories fades, I’m left with a far greater sense of excitement and anticipation about the competence of this cabinet. Democracy and competence, once distant friends, now united.
Starmer is trying a new experiment: government by people who know what the hell they’re talking about

Election tomorrow. FIND YOUR PHOTO ID. PUT IT IN YOUR POCKET OR BAG. The address DOESN'T need to match your constituency or current address. This is just to prove your ID. Passport, driving license, PASS card or Voter Certificate, or this stuff: https://t.co/atz9vF7UJE
