🧵 Everyone knows that YouTube builds a channel profile to recommend your videos to the right people..
But people don't know how to build the right channel profile.
Answer: Make the right content.
Let me explain:
"How <subject> went from <starting point> to <you right now> in <time frame>"
This video concept is proven to work time and time again for creators of any size in any niche (especially finance niche)
Some examples:
• How I went from $0 to $500M in 5 years
• How MrBeast went
𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗿:
- No team
- Unbearable stress
- Uploads inconsistently
𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗿:
- Peace of mind
- High-quality team
- Uploads consistently
What do you choose?
No niche is ever saturated if you make content that is either:
• Innovative
• High-quality
• Pattern breaking
So identify and work in a niche that's most convenient for you, instead of looking for the next big thing.

YouTube is not a game for the weak
If you're sad over not getting 1M views on your first ever video
You're not going to make it

And I mean YEARS, not months
Stick around and you'll eventually find success

YouTube is a long game
Too many of you quit too quickly
You just haven't given it enough time
You haven't given it enough effort
Stop believing that you can succeed with minimal effort
The competition is destroying it's ass

There is no such thing as 'saturated' niche on YouTube
If you create good enough videos, you can go viral in ANY NICHE
It doesn't matter if it's finance, football, aviation, or heck, children's bed time stories.
Calling a niche saturated is a weak man's way to cope out of his
Fireship is the PERFECT example of..
Make thumbnails for your audience, not the algorithm
His thumbnails don't have:
> Shiny objects
> High saturation
> High brightness
> Light background
> Exaggerated face
They're just.. perfect.
A packaging masterclass
The video is just clips from a movie, but it's the perfect title + thumbnail combination which resulted in 1500x outlier
The power of sparking extreme emotions 👇👇
I feel like there's a still a feeling of effective emotions missing in the content
In the newest video for instance, I didn't feel like it was an abandoned place at all
Sure, no one else was there other than MrBeast's crew
But when you compare MrBeast's most recent videos to
This past year i’ve slowed down our videos, focused on story telling, let scenes breathe, yelled less, more personality, longer videos, etc. And our views have skyrocketed!
My fellow YouTubers lets get rid of the ultra fast paced/overstim era of content. It doesn’t even work 💀
Everyone talks about..
- Ideation
- Packaging
- Video Editing
etc..
Don't get me wrong, these are very important
But there's an underlying factor that many miss
This factor helps with:
- Better Retention
- Audience Building
- Product Conversion
I'm talking about..

How to grow on YouTube?
1. Spend 1000s of hours learning from your mistakes
2. Spend 1000s of hours reiterating
3. Spend 1000s of hours hiring a team
4. Spend 1000s of hours managing your team
Or hire a YouTube Strategist to do it for you
In order to master YouTube..
You have to master the audience
You have to put yourself in their shoes
Don't make the mistake of being self-centered
The views come from the audience.
The money comes from the audience.
The opportunities come from the audience.
Ask yourself these

🧵 Video ideas, packaging and content are undoubtedly very important parts of a video..
But you’re neglecting another SUPER IMPORTANT part:
The first few seconds of the video.
Let me explain:
You don't need fancy animations like Iman Gadzhi
You don't need punchy sound effects like MrBeast
You don't need crazy montages like Danny Duncan
You don't need hours long videos like Sam Sulek
All you need to do:
- Provide value
Conventional advice, is TERRIBLE advice
You've obviously heard of this advice: Text in thumbnails MUST be less than 3 words
And look at these videos..
Millions of views despite having half of their thumbnail filled up by text
Lesson: Focus on your audience, not algorithm.
I know a tactic to increase your video retention by 1000% (real)
I swear this works better than those 'epic MrBeast edits'
With this tactic, you can even get away with bad practices like:
• Weak hook
• Very length intro
• CTA in first 15 seconds
The tactic: Have a killer
Your first 10 videos should be experimental
Learn from how each of those videos perform
PS: Don't cry that you've not got as many views as MrBeast while you're in the experimental phase. I've seen too many people do that which eventually leads to them quitting
How To Scale on YouTube (for 1M+ subscribers)
1. Create multiple 2nd channels
2. Make easy-to-produce content
3. Drive traffic from your main to 2nd channels
4. Monetize your 2nd channels
5. Use the money to fund your main channel to create
better/more
YouTube is NOT Easy
With the trend of YouTube Automation on the rise, people are led to believe that they can easily make thousands of dollars, if not millions.
This is simply not the case.
YouTube requires a lot of work. You have to:
▹ Hire a team
▹ Think of packaging
▹
🧵 A team is the most valuable aspect of operations on YouTube
Unfortunately, many creators end up hiring amateurs who cause problems in future
So here's how to vet the cream of the crop for your team (thread):
What do you think of this new YouTube feature concept?
'Record & upload' feature where creators can just record a video on YouTube, edit through YouTube Editor and then upload
Will save a lot of time for authentic creators
YouTube is stupid simple
Here's the content creation cycle that will help you succeed:
1. Upload video
2. Learn from YouTube analytics
3. Repeat the cycle
Don't overcomplicate it
Common misconceptions people have about YouTube:
• It's 100% luck-based
• Results are immediate
• They're shadow-banned
• Small creators are held back
• It's a source of passive income
• More subscribers= More money
What would you add?
YOU DON'T NEED A TEAM!!
YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING ON YOUR OWN!!
Is what a normie would say.
Sure, you can get 10k subscribers alone..
But wouldn't you want 1M subscribers?
A team will help get there.
Your 1st video might not blow up..
Your 2nd video might not blow up..
Your 10th video might not blow up..
Your 50th video might not blow up..
Your 100th video might not blow up..
But at least you'll LEARN - and that's the most important part
Eventually, you'll get the fruits of
You don't need fancy tools to succeed on YouTube
You don't need fancy videos to succeed on YouTube
They help, sure..
But all you need is:
- Patience
- Determination
- Right knowledge
William Shakespeare touched on this.
The simple concept behind YouTube is to:
1. Satisfy your audience
2. ..At a large scale
Without rewarding your audience, you're not going to get results..
And without doing it at a large scale, you're not going to get wealth.
𝟮 𝗪𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗧𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲:
1. Re-invent the wheel by failing 100 times from trying new concepts until 1 sticks, then double down and expand on it.
2. Study your competitors channels. See what they are doing and try to do it better than them.
Don't waste your time on video editing.
Don't waste your time on script writing.
Don't waste your time on thumbnail designing.
Outsource all that.
Focus on the most important part: Ideation
@Ryker_Strategy
Disagree
MrBeast didn't wake up to 50% increase in CTR one day after randomly sticking his face in one of his thumbnails
He HAS BEEN putting his face in his thumbnails
And overtime, his audience started learning about his branding/face
It's the same for everyone else
This thumbnail is a random frame from the video..
But it STILL got 16M views
Why?
Because it sparked curiosity in viewers; "Who would dare to rap 'Elephant' at a talent show? I got to see that!"
Lesson: Prioritize the video idea.
@dannymcmahon
has to be the best documentary channel
> Created a whole new style of documentaries
> Let's the main subject tell the story (minimal voiceovers)
> Set trends which were adopted by countless channels
> Exceptional branding in every video
Truly inspirational
When starting a YouTube channel..
1. Niche-down as much as possible
2. Use that to gain a loyal fanbase
Once you start succeeding in that niche, *slowly* start making content for a broader audience
This is the simplest and most effective way of building a YouTube empire.

YOUTUBERS. LISTEN UP.
Here's some quality advice to create better content:
Open a google docs page, and list down the characteristics of your target audience.
The points in the list can include (but not limited to):
➣ Audience's level of stress
➣ Audience's attention span
In order to understand the YouTube algorithm..
We first have to understand what is YouTube
(and yes, despite the common belief, YouTube is not a charity work designed to give creators a safe space to express themselves)
5 Biggest Mistakes YouTubers Make:
1. Posting irregularly
2. Not *analyzing* analytics
3. Not following

4. Not making any friends in the YT space
5. Making decisions without considering data
