5. Magnus Midtbø (.A surprise favourite of mine at the moment. This is a channel that takes climbing as a niche and runs with it into extreme heights (😉) in terms of viewership. Great personality, insane challenges - no one quite like this guy out there.

4. Video Game Dunkey (.Now I know this is an obvious choice. But there’s a reason this dude is still relevant, still popping and mega refreshing to watch. He’s assuredly himself - and confident in the approach. You gotta respect it.

3. Big Boss (.This one is my eat food, kick feet up and switch brain off channel. It’s a mixture of all the best shit post documentary channels - like internet historian & Joseppi. Consistently good content & very well edited.

2. Fern (.Storytelling masterclass, here we have a uniquely high quality, high quantity channel that is very reminiscent of DisruptTV back in the day. Super refreshing content & really engaging.

1. Corridor Crew (.These guys fucking rock. If you haven’t seen their work before, then you’ve been missing out. Niche topics for a BROAD audience. And presentation that is honestly unrivalled by Wren and the crew.

This is obviously just how things are going on YouTube. There’s nothing to stop it from happening - BUT….I will today be leaving you a small antidote in this sloppy AI landscape, by sharing 5 very non-AI channels that made me feel a lot less gross when being on YouTube.

AI channels are multiplying and seemingly pumping out the same AI driven ideas that (I assume) chat GPT is pumping out to the creators. These videos are slathered in AI generated images, voices and very likely being put together for little/ no cost.
