In a time when budgets are already tight is it wise to spend money on removing pieces of already installed infrastructure that has been widely successful? This is incredibly disappointing and would like the chance to talk about how we can do better.

I encourage you to talk to riders and push back on the idea that safe infrastructure is "ugly". This makes us less safe and seems to be in line with the recent failings of DOTI to carry out their goals.

At today’s Rally for 29th Avenue, NIMBYs approached several female volunteers that were setting up before the rally & verbally accosted them. There is no place for harassment in our city, especially at peaceful gatherings and it was completely uncalled for. We condemn this.

Why don't more people bike? Because we don't have safe bike lanes. Why don't we have safe bike lanes? Because we prioritize parking. This announcement is so disheartening and a horrible precedent for @DenverDOTI
Today we learned that @DenverDOTI completely killed the West 29th Avenue protected bike lane between Tennyson & Sheridan to placate residents with driveways & garages that wanted extra on street parking. DOTI has made it clear that convenient parking is more important than safety

How is it possible you wrote an entire article focused on one guy's concern over BRT that will service thousands of riders and you didn't speak to one bus rider @BenninDen? https://t.co/tLHeJLxeCv

The Colfax Avenue Bus Rapid Transit is expected to increase traffic on nearby roads, and residents want a solution.

When the traffic quiets I can hear crickets. Cities aren't loud.

Yes & connecting collector, & neighborhood streets Broadway has shown us that people want to ride to their destinations directly and not just go "a few streets over" Cars get a network, so should bikes It's been fun seeing this come together, project leaders have been awesome
If I'm reading this right, Denver is now proposing protected bike lanes some of the city's busiest arterial streets: - Colorado Blvd - Speer - S Broadway - W Evans - Monaco - Quebec - 17th/18th - 13th/14th - York/Josephine Take a look at the map here:

@DenBicycleLobby Ah yes this old chestnut. 🤣🤣Transportation or recreation? A BIG difference. Recreation riders hoist the bikes on the car and drive to or close to their destination. Transportation riders leave from home and ride. A big difference.

Here's John Hopkins supporting narrower lanes for crash reduction. Don't be dense like this guy and think about transportation on vibes only. Learn a thing or two and you'll find transportation policy is not intuitive and needs critical thinking. https://t.co/hHVUB0Jf6s

Narrower streets with room for bike lanes and sidewalks could pay dividends for health and safety.
@aschweng93 No, that’s not at all the implication. The implication (and reality) is that the car lanes are too narrow now whereas before there was enough room. And look how you twist your mind into knots to gaslight me into thinking that a huge increase in car accidents is something to be

Business idea: When opening a business get to know your local public works or department of transportation & how to find information. They will be doing work in the street, changes will happen, it's public space If you're blind sided after ignoring a flyer it's your fault
