Relative to the historical record, the eclipse is more worrying than the Mars-Uranus opposition, as there is more evidence in my database that Algol lunar eclipses have preceded major geopolitical crisis. Of course, this doesn't mean your suspicions are unfounded.

The four-year period corresponds to Venus' half-cycle, which is why in my PIMap you get opposing four-year intervals.
We are currently in the Red 5 interval, but four years ago and four years from now we were / will be in Blue 5.

The total solar eclipse of July 20, 1963 was at 27 Cn 24'10", which is closer to conjunct his natal Saturn than his MC. This same eclipse preceded his older brother's death in a plane crash in 1944, which was the single event that put JFK in the hot seat for prez by his dad.

Most recently, Algol lunar eclipses have preceded the 1st Chechen War (1994, penumbral), the outbreak of the Angolan war and invasion of East Timor (1975, total), and the Hungarian uprising and Suez Crisis (1956, total). In all three cases, the Algol conjunction was much tighter.

The 79th solar return is an interesting one, in that it merges the synodic returns of natal Mercury & Mars. In fact, it is the closest Mars synodic return that occurs in a single human lifetime, usually about 4-5 zodiacal degrees from the natal placement.

The same eclipse is also brother Robert's pre-natal eclipse in 1925. As for JFK's Saturn, it does correlate nicely with the fact that Saturn was rising with the Moon when he was shot.
