What we are seeing in Gaza is a deliberate denial of aid, a forced starvation by Israeli forces. Thanks to your donations, UNRWA has prepared 6,000 truckloads of food, medicine, and hygiene supplies — enough to feed families, restock clinics, and restore a measure of dignity.

UNRWA remains in Gaza, providing water, sanitation, health, and mental health services, despite being denied full access by the Israeli military for over five months.

UNRWA has the supplies. The teams. The network. The trust.

Airdrops are photo ops - they are not a long term solution. They are costly, dangerous, risky, and nowhere near the scale required. Gaza needs at least 500 to 600 trucks of aid every day, the level delivered during the ceasefire earlier this year.

Today, August 19, is #WorldHumanitarianDay. At UNRWA USA, our work is rooted in compassion, dignity, and truth. We honor every voice that speaks truth, every hand that protects the vulnerable, and every heart that refuses to stay silent.

History will remember their courage—and those who tried to silence it. Ceasefire now. Let Gaza live.

. And the world needs to set the record straight. This is not only an attack on lives, but on our shared humanity, and on our right to know. You can kill the messenger, but you can’t kill the truth. The truth will win.

A whole population is being starved and bombed, including our own UNRWA colleagues. Because the very UN agency built to help them is being sidelined. UNRWA needs to be able to do its job. People are dying not because aid doesn’t exist, but because it’s being blocked.

With no international journalists allowed into Gaza, it is only Palestinian journalists who have been able to show the world what’s happening — and they are being killed for it. All while twisted narratives are used to justify the unthinkable.

Mothers, fathers, children, and neighbors whose lives were taken while serving others, seeking safety, delivering aid, and in telling the truth the world needs to hear.

We grieve for the more than 200 Palestinian journalists, over 300 of our @UNRWA colleagues, and the tens of thousands of innocent people killed in Gaza since October 2023.
