Why aren't the UK mass media reporting the real reason that #Amazon (Luxembourg) will cease accepting UK-issued #Visa cards? Because of #Brexit, Regulation (EU) 2015/751 no longer caps interchange fees for accepting UK credit cards at 0.3%, which Visa is therefore increasing.

Too many large UK businesses communicate with their customers by paper correspondence instead of electronically. Please sign my parliamentary petition to give consumers a legal right to opt out of this unnecessary environmental harm.

It's increasingly likely that @10DowningStreet intends to crash out of the EU's single market at the end of 2020 with a #NoDealBrexit. Please sign my petition to hold a referendum that respects the democratic will of the current 53% majority and #RejoinEU.

In the general election on 12th December 2019, only a 47% minority of votes were for pro-Brexit parties. The democratic wish of the remaining 53% majority must be respected. Therefore hold a first-...

These diplomats owe nothing. Article 34 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 exempts diplomats from taxes. Calling it a "congestion charge" instead of a "congestion tax" doesn't mean that it's not a tax. Well done to @USAinUK for leading the way.

A passport is only worth the rights it confers. It means nothing inside ones own country. This passport is weaker than the one it replaces, symbolising the removal of our rights to move and operate freely across our own continent. It therefore represents abject political failure.

If the only people allowed in from abroad are high skilled workers and low skilled jobs are all filled by British people, surely there will come a time when British people become the underclass in their own country. Is this what people voted for?

Brexit's racism is more about language than about nationality. In this YouGov survey today, shockingly more than a quarter of respondents are bothered when they "hear those from a non-English speaking country talking to each other in their own language".

358 MPs vote to strip Brits of their rights to work, study, retire across their own continent; to put Britain on the path to global irrelevance and even break-up. Remain/ Leave may be over but those who put their party above their country must be accountable for what comes next.

Farage needs no manifesto. His only policy is being pro-Farage. He's immoral enough to have built a lucrative career on his hobby of enthusiastic xenophobia. Naturally he wants to keep it going. But he should never be treated as anything other than a talented amateur fascist.

Relieved that finally no one died in a ditch. Whether the UK's democratic choice is revoke or an orderly withdraw, confirmed or not in a second referendum, the uncertainty of Brexit has gone on for far too long. This extra time must deliver a way forward.

This is a significant factor behind Brexit. Most British people couldn't exercise their right to free movement of labour even if they wanted to, because they lack basic communication skills to work in other EEA countries.

Xenophobia and perverted nationalism motivated the results of both the UK's 2016 EU referendum the German federal election of 6th November 1932, in which Adolf Hitler's Nazi party received the largest share of the vote with an 81% turnout. David Lammy makes a good comparison.
