Our new work: Continuous glucose monitors (CGM) accurately measured blood glucose & identified missed opportunities for earlier intervention during DKA. CGM-guided DKA management could improve patient outcomes, experience, & resource utilization.

We observed the "Two-Bag Method" for management of adult DKA was resource preserving, efficient, and safe: faster resolution of acidosis, fewer charged IV bags, less hypokalemia, and trend towards less hypoglycemia.
