RIP @SFdirewolf I’ll never forget the time & guidance you gave me as I began my journey of public activism to fight for my daughter’s life. I’ll carry the lessons I learned from you & remind myself to “slow down” as you told me. I hope you get to meet my #SweetSophia now💜

More than 660,000 North Carolinians are projected to lose their healthcare coverage under the Trump GOP's "One Big" federal budget, which Congress passed earlier this year. The bill effectively kills North Carolina's historic Medicaid expansion, which just passed in 2023. The

My heart goes out to all of the people in the disabled community who will die from the passing of this eugenics bill. This is death by policy. This is fascism. This is an assault on public health and safety. I’m so tired of evil people winning.

I wish I could've fought against this as ferociously as I did in 2017, but I haven't resolved the pain of spending my child's final years fighting for her healthcare. I'm still not able to revisit this work fully without the trauma attached. I'm sorry. #healthcare #advocacy

Every Republican who promised their constituents they would never cut Medicaid - and broke that promise today - was lying the whole time. They deserve to lose power.

Congrats to @lisamurkowski on voting for a bill that you yourself admitted was not ready in hopes that the House would change it. Now it’ll become law. You had the power to stop it, and instead chose to become complicit. That’s your legacy.

It is important to note that the Medicaid cuts(and more) will not take effect until 2026… after the mid-term elections. This is by design. I'm disgusted at how many people are cheering on others losing their healthcare. Life-saving for some. Get out and vote in 2026!

The fiscal conservatives in the Republican Party just added $4 trillion to the deficit to give the wealthiest people on earth a tax cut. The pro-family conservatives just took healthcare away from 17 million Americans to give ICE a bigger budget than Brazil’s military. The single

We will continue to fight for Medicaid & for medically complex children and their families. The Republican reconciliation bill slashes nearly $1T from #Medicaid, guts ACA subsidies for 24M, strips coverage from 13.7M+, and threatens the right to live in the community w/ family!

Every day people are struggling to make ends meet with higher prices for food, rent and other bills. The bill just passed in DC not only doesn’t help them, it actually hurts working families, seniors, children and veterans so those at the top can have big tax breaks. Shameful.

Only three could muster the courage, only three. At least good for them. My fellow Americans, regardless of who you voted for in last election this bill hurts everyday Americans, this bill hurts our country, this bill hurts our future.

🚨NEVER FORGET: The House is capable of stopping the bill now. It’s time to turn our attention to our house representatives. Please call 202-224-3121 & tell them to vote: No! We all must call so this bill does NOT pass the BIG UGLY BILL!

Under the House plan, more tax cuts go to millionaires than the entire half of America combined. Again, millionaires get more than the bottom half of America combined. And this is just the tax side. Include Medicaid and SNAP cuts, and it's a cut for the poorest.
