What does NANEMIAR mean to you? “NANEMIAR represents hope. Its mRNA-based nanomedicine approach could reduce transfusion dependency and offer a safer, more effective therapy.”

How does this affect your daily practice? “We treat many young patients who need frequent transfusions. This limits their independence and exposes them to risks such as iron overload and infections.''

What is the biggest challenge today? “Congenital anemias like β-thalassemia severely affect red blood cell production. Bone marrow transplantation is the only curative option, but only a few patients qualify.
