With your support, NWIRP will continue to keep families together, protect people from violence, and provide our community members with new opportunities - no matter who is in office.

Our community is scared, and for good reason. But we know that when we band together with our client communities “no están solos, no están solas.” They are not alone.

While the President-elect frequently changes his tune, he has been remarkably consistent in his statements and actions demonstrating his inhumanity towards immigrants. As such, we need to be prepared for the chaos he aims to sow when his next term begins in January.

Just as we did when he was last in office, we will continue to challenge the unlawful actions his administration takes to tear families apart, to undo decades of life-affirming immigration policies, and to divide this country and its people.

The President-elect has promised to begin the largest deportation operation in the history of this country as soon as he takes the oath of office. We are ready to fight back. And we know you are too.

The asylum ban, which came as part of a temporary DHS rule, has had far less impact on migrants than the procedural changes in the rule which allowed Border Patrol agents to stop referring migrants for asylum screenings in the first place. THAT has been the actual big change.

Migrant crossings have been declining since March, but the decrease became more pronounced after President Biden used his executive authority to ban most migrants from asylum. A crackdown on migrants by Mexico this year has also been playing a role. Temperatures are rising, too.

As we, @NWIRP, @ACLU_SoCal, and our partners have long said: CARRP is discriminatory, unlawful, and just plain cruel. It’s long past time for this policy to end.Join us and ask USCIS to rescind this immigration policy before more people are harmed. https://t.co/l7OwlwBE2s

CARRP places thousands of otherwise eligible green-card and citizenship applicants in "immigration purgatory" without due process. Demand action now.

BREAKING: We are in court today on behalf of thousands of green-card and citizenship applicants who have been stuck in “immigration purgatory” due to a secretive USCIS policy known as CARRP. This isn’t how our immigration system is supposed to work.

The undocumented population is between 3-4% of the U.S. population. The impact on the social fabric of mass deportations would be catastrophic. It would be a nation rent apart.
