This placemat idea was a big topic of discussion in groups at destreaming meeting today. We wondered about cross curricular potential of common question words. The example in this post is a good starting point! @WhiteRoomRadio @michmaniscalco @MrBBeard.

GIANT maps are available from @CanGeoEdu (truly GIANT). They come with lesson plans and all the resources required. Gr 9's at NHS have had a chance to explore Ontario Parks. Making spatial significance connections! (also great for ecology-science class)

Successful PD today @StFXSOS. Lots of strategies for flexible, differentiated assessment. Grades can be uniquely formulated - doesn’t have to look the same for each student. Moving away from a “one-size-fits-all” approach. More formative assessment and feedback. Perfect for MTH1W
