So. Was 106Kg, HbA1c 73 18 mths ago. Came down to 52. Now 79Kg but HbA1c 122!!! Turns out am probs not type 2 (probs a LADA). Grateful for our amazing diabetes centre @NewcastleHosps and the amazing access to technology - Libra 2 and those that make this possible @parthaskar

This is bang on the money. Membership teaches us about what pattern recognition but also about when something just doesn’t fit. Also, “diseases don’t read textbooks” so be prepared for atypical presentations. Core doctor work this.
Every recent on-call has seen a pt with a rare presentation/diagnosis being admitted under my care. Like fine-print or NEVER heard of that rare. So rare can't mention the diseases cos that would identify the pts. A few reflections on knowledge, cognition and the doctoring.🧵 1/

Nice study. Shoes can use either type of NSAID for PEP prophylaxis. Also shows that PEP still occurs way more than we think when followed robustly and prospectively.
