39 years ago today, I heard the words "you are
#HIV
positive." It was 1985 and I was 24. With time, I learned that we all have our personal crisis, and a lot of them are hidden from view. So, be kind. Help somebody else. For me, it is why I survived.
When I tested
#HIV
positive in 1985 they said I wouldn't make it to my 30th birthday. I am turning 60 this year! Any other longterm survivors hitting major milestones you never thought you would reach?

I tested

My

This is 61, folks, with 37 of them living with

I have been living with

since the test came out in 1985. For someone testing positive today, it's still a major life event. We shouldn't minimize how difficult it can be just because "there are great medications," etc. Social stigma sucks. Be strong.
