My darlings, rejoice! Just had my post-op appointment and the news is all good: they got all the cancer, my lymph nodes were clear, and the genetic tests says low risk for recurrence. Next up I meet with the radiation and medical oncologists to finalize treatment. 💜

Loves, I have my biopsy results; they are not good. I have invasive ductal carcinoma, the most common type of breast cancer. Very treatable. The tumor is small, about 6mm, so with luck we are at the early stages. I'm waiting for a call back from the surgeon so we can get going.

Cancer update: Had my first of three radiation treatments this morning. Second is this afternoon, then the last tomorrow morning. After that I’ll be on hormone blockers for at least 5 years. I have been very lucky on this journey. 💜

I’ve been married almost 30 years and we have always co-mingled our money. When my mother died and I inherited her brokerage account, it was put in my name solely. Because it was MY inheritance. He didn’t question it for a moment.

Good afternoon, my loves. Back from the consult with the surgeon. Still waiting on some lab results from the lazy pathology lab, but the news so far is positive. Tumor is slow-growing (grade one). MRI is next. After that we'll decide about surgery.

My husband has told me that he actually likes me better without makeup. In the 32 years of our relationship he has not once destroyed any of my makeup and has actually accompanied me to Sephora on more than one occasion.

Post-surgery update: I’m doing fine, only a bit more painful than after the biopsy. Rested but was unable to nap really well (anesthesia hypes me up for some reason). Probably have a walk tomorrow. Thank you for checking in and wishing me well. Onward!

Praise me, applaud me, validate me. Today was my first day back in the gym since my surgery! It felt good. Walking just wasn't cutting it. Check back with me later when I can't lift my arms.
