When I left my college job last year to join @heraldscotland I promised I would shine a light on the state of the sector. Next week, that promise gets honoured. Join us for a special series to find out how colleges work, what challenges they face, why we need to save them.

Just 377 healthy people under 60 have died of Covid. That's not a typo. There are no zeros missing. 377. Yes, that's sad but we have locked down an entire country for a virus that mostly kills the very old & the very sick. The rest of us should be free to decide our own risks.

Private schools exist to push mediocre rich kids ahead of poor kids. That's the product they sell. It's how they justify charging 5-figure fees. It's about letting wealthy people buy their children a 20m head start in a 100m race then pretending they really deserved to win.

You know what - enough is enough. If @NicolaSturgeon or @JohnSwinney really think they can defend the #SQAResults how about we have a sit down interview and discuss it. I'm happy to work around their schedules as far as possible if that's what it takes.

Yes. Stop being so bloody irresponsible. If you want to hang out indoors with your friends, without masks or social distancing, you'll just have to wait until you get to school.

We went from 'legitimate concerns about women's sex-based rights' to attacking Stonewall to legitimising conversion therapy awfully quickly eh? A lesson, perhaps.

All I've done all day is read and talk and think about the #SQAresults and it has been the worst day I can remember in months. The way young people and teachers have been treated is absolutely disgraceful and the chances of any accountability very slim. It's just awful.

Absolutely buzzing to wake up on Saturday with fewer rights than I have today because of a culture war over England's identity crisis.

John Swinney says he has fixed the problem "right away". When I do things "right away" I don't spend a week trying to do the opposite.
