A visit to Hurley to see if the Yellow Browed Warbler would put in an appearance. It certainly did and showed well the whole time I was there. @WestMidBirdClub

I think this is a male advertising his presence. Constant flooding will be washing away their scent marking so attracting a mate at the moment will be more reliant on contact calls. @ladywalk_nr

For most of the last 4 weeks this sandbank has been under various depths of water. You can get an idea from the footage. The otter loudly calling is doing so for breeding related communication. These calls help otters locate one another.

Nice to see the first Avocet of the year on Jubilee at @RSPBMiddleton this afternoon, matching my earliest date for the site from 2023. Could spring really be just round the corner? Also 10 Pochard,7 Goldeneye, 1 Goosander. Marsh Harrier also reported. @Staffsbirdnews

I've tried a few times to see this bird. Success this morning. Merlin, the UK's smallest bird of prey. Very distant. Phonescoped.

The local Fox hunt Trash Belvide SSSI nature reserve this afternoon. After being warned about their future conduct, when a similar incident happened several years back. They don't give a shit.

An example of a wildlife corridor. Used by many different species. I didn’t include the many rodent videos.

The hazy effect isn't a filter. It's frost on the glass thats in front of the lens. Winter fox last night.

Getting a picture of a fox scaling a 6ft fence has proved harder than I expected. Still trying!

Further to car tweet, the #AA chap said that they have about 1,000 more engineers out on the road than the shockingly bad #RAC. Great service and as neither of them appear to do much on X, I'm just using hashtags. Thanks again AA.

Had car problem late yesterday so rang #RAC by 9am . No humans responded obvs , just an App. Told they'd arrive between 3 & 6, then 8 &10 , then 9 and midnight. Shocking service RAC . Remembered had AA cover via old bank account so rang them at 6.15 and he'd sorted it by 7.30.
