Started 2024 off strong with some paragraph writing and art! We chose a word as a class and started with some guided writing. We then chose our own words to guide us through the year, used Google docs to write our own paragraphs and edit them.

Grade 4s made their own pulleys and will be incorporating them into their simple machine inventions!

Such an awesome field trip to the @OntScienceCtr last week! Our hands on structures workshop was great!

Grade 3s have stated their strong and stable structures science unit! We built boats that could float and stable structures that can hold a book!

Thank you @AgaKhanMuseum for the awesome virtual field trip and calligraphy art lesson to honour Islamic heritage month! You prompted some very excited students to share their Arabic learning at home with the class :) @tdsb_ihm

We brainstormed how we use the land, how we can honour it and learned about whose traditional and stolen land we live on. We then wrote our own land acknowledgment and thought of a word to describe how every child should feel going to school. @RHMcGregorES

Such a fun first week in Room 309! It was full of brainstorming about what an inclusive and welcoming class looks like, our class agreements, STEM longest paper chain challenges and writing encouraging messages to keep a growth mindset! @RHMcGregorES

Today we got to put all of our coding learning together by coding with Dash! @WonderWorkshop thanks Mme Tzatzanis for teaching us and letting us have a giant dance party with our robots in the library! @RHMcGregorES

We are authors! This week, the authors of room 309 presented their creative writing. Students had a choice to use either @BookCreatorApp, make a book, comic book and more!
